The 'Travelling Trowel'

This is the 'Travelling Trowel' which was kindly donated to the Province of Linlithgowshire by Past Masters Walter Sneddon and Scott Sneddon in 2001. Its purpose is to try and encourage lodges within the Province to visit each other and thereby raise a little more for charity. What happens is, quite simply that, if the lodge that 'holds' the trowel receives a visit from ten or more brethren from another sister lodge, the visiting brethren can claim the trowel, at a cost of 50p per brother which goes into the money box, and is then taken home to their lodge. At the end of the season the lodge holding the trowel donate the total proceeds in the money box to their chosen charity.
It has proved to be quite successful and lets face it the more money raised for charity the better, so come on the brethren of Linlithgowshire let's get this trowel travelling!!
